The New Colonials (The New Colonies)
The New Colonies, The New Colonies of Kobol is a new nation formed by the people of Caprica, Helios Alpha in 2912. The New Colonials (the preferred designation to the people of the Colonies) are people with origins from both ancient Colonials (that is, a people who were thought to be exterminated 150,000 years ago by a nation of rogue Cylons, who later reconquered the 12 Colony planets and resettled them almost 5,000 years after) and UT colonization teams that arrived to the 12 Colony planets in 2356 (consisting of people from the UT – an old superempire that consisted of all Slavic nations such as Russia, Ukraine, Poland, etc, most of Europe, China and it’s neighbors, Australia and Australasia, and nearly all nations on the Asian continent.) New Colonial peoples consist mostly of Colonial-Slavic crosses (45% of total population of the 12 Colony planets).

The New Colonials have three official languages – New Colonial (a variant of ancient Colonial that is easier to speak and bears similarity to ancient Greek), Russian, and English. (For the sake of simplicity and for everyone to understand, I will keep names and words on and in the descriptions of pictures English. However, remember that they would actually be New Colonial ingame.)
There are only two major “religions” in the 12 Colonies: Kobolism (78% of population), Agnosticism (18%) and Soldiers of the One (3%). The remainder (1%) are recent immigrants with their own, and there are no laws prohibiting any religions. Kobolism is a worship of the Lords of Kobol:
* Aphrodite
* Apollo
* Ares
* Artemis
* Asclepius
* Athena
* Atlas
* Aurora
* Hecate
* Hephaestus
* Hera
* Poseidon
* Zeus
and associated deities. They believe all humans come from the planet of Kobol, which has been discovered, and in an afterlife. On the other hand, Soldiers of the One believe in a single god entity. The cult originated on Gemenon, Helios Alpha.
Unlike the ancient Colonials, New Colonial planets are filled with technology… everywhere, everytime there is an electronic device within a meter of you even if you are not wearing one. Cities are huge and advanced, tall skyscrapers with rooftop gardens, large vertical farm towers and roads jammed with cars (the 12 Colonies limit hover technology for civilian use.) are seen until the horizon. Most interesting in New Colonial life are the use of reprogrammed Cylon robots. Made without strong emotions to prevent rebellion like 150 thousand years before, these robots make up 11 percent of the population and do jobs ranging from sanitation to secretary.

Colonial government is very similar to the USA's government before the rise of the USSA - capitolism and democracy.
With the advance of pulse weaponry in 2650, common ammunition was made obsolete everywhere. Due to this, New Colonial rifles, machineguns, and pretty much anything that looks like it would use kinetic projectiles actually use pulse rounds, with the expectations such as railguns, KEW turret systems and flechette in shotgun ammunition.
Colonial fleet ships are created in shipyards such as Scorpia. These are privately built but designed with plans from the military, hence the high costs. We are not communists. Since these craft, such as fighters and capitol warships, are built privately, they can also be owned privately with permit. Many in the 12 Colonies own their own aerospace fighters, some rich even own capitol warships, and it is extremely common to see these flying around. There are many sports associated with this, and due to beaming technology, regular people can go see racing and fighting events between these craft with ease from large stations in space.
